Finding a tab

Start typing in the bar at the top. You don't need to click it first — press Tab when you arrive and you're in it, and Escape brings you back to it from anywhere.

Clearing looks at three things: each tab's title, its full web address, and the name of the group it's in. A group's name counts as much as a title, so a group you called "Job search" comes up for "job" even when none of the tabs inside it mention the word.

Results are ordered by how well they match, not by where the tabs happen to sit. Matching text is marked on each card so you can see why it turned up. If the match is somewhere the card doesn't show — deep in an address, or past the second line of a long title — the tab still appears, just without a mark.

Matches have to be real. A whole word counts most, then the start of a word, then a run of letters inside one. Typing "job" won't find a page that merely contains a j, an o and a b scattered about.
